Shasta Lake is the largest reservoir in California with a surface area of 29,500 acres and a shoreline of 360 miles. Considered the premier lake for boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, and fishing, Shasta Lake is also home to a wide variety of wildlife species, including resident Bald Eagles.

Shasta's summer water temperatures averages 77 degrees. The warm climate and beautiful surroundings draw thousands of visitors to Lake Shasta each year.

Three major rivers feed Shasta Lake: the Sacramento, Pit, and McCloud. These, as well as the numerous smaller streams and tributaries lure both beginning and experienced anglers. Shasta Lake RV Resort and Campground is located on the Sacramento River Arm of the lake.
